The Risk Management and Loss Control Consultant provides excellent sales support to the producer and first-class customer service to clients.

The position requires a significant degree of independent judgment and discretion. The Risk Management and Loss Control Consultant has superior knowledge regarding the specific proactive services offered by the agency.

The Risk Management and Loss Control Consultant will assist in the production of new and renewal accounts in keeping with Agency and individual Producer goals and provide service in support of producer activities.

The Risk Management and Loss Control Consultant will assist in the production and growth of individual producers through training and sales support.

The Risk Management and Loss Control Consultant is responsible for assisting clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts.

The Risk Management and Loss Control Consultant will work with the producer to design and recommend proper proactive services and risk management programs to agency clients.

Work Performed

  • Provides excellent customer service to clients
  • Works with the Producer to write new business accounts by engaging current clients
  • Works with producer to meet account retention goals
  • Creates value for clients through agency's proactive service
  • Makes proactive, regularly scheduled courtesy service calls to assigned accounts
  • Assists in the development of strong personal relationships with clients and producers
  • Ensures Agency procedures are followed, that information is properly documented, and maintains records
  • Assists with agency growth goals through lead generation of our currently serviced clients
  • Coordinates with producer to develop service timelines and makes recommendations
  • Meets directly with clients, either virtually or by phone; negotiates and sells lines of insurance
  • Controls and coordinates the implementation process of proactive services related to business improvement and hiring
  • Ensures benchmarking is completed for new clients and agency impact is quantified annually
  • Communicates with producers and clients with clarity
  • Assists with retention goals through quantifying agency's impact on a client
  • Quantifies and prepares annual reports for clients, showing the agency's work and impact
  • Assists in continuous development of service culture across the organization and in the community the agency serves to meet demands
  • Enhances the agency's internal processes to create a better customer value
  • Consistently provides personal service to others, groups, communities, systems, and environments
  • Promotes innovation, makes data-driven decisions, and remains true to the agency's shared vision

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a respectful and professional "voice"
  • Proficient with agency management systems (Bigntion)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to commit to, utilize, and follow Agency procedures while remaining adaptive and flexible to changing demands in a rapidly growing company
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with shifting responsibilities
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Preferred Education / Experience

5+ years of commercial insurance or customer service experience in an insurance agency setting
