Job Description
Financial Planning & Analysis Manager Deer Creek
Summary
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will play a key role in developing and improving current systems to effectively measure financial and operational performance.
Assists in preparing financial analyses, forecasts, and special studies for management in areas such as performance against plan, capital investments, and alternative management strategies.
Essential Functions
- Develop and lead the forecasting and budgeting process for the Deer Creek plant including coordination with Commercial, Operations, and Finance team.
- Collaborate with team of Finance analysts on improving processes and controls as it relates to weekly reporting, variance analysis and forecasting.
- Responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly variance analysis as well as providing recommendations to management for improvements in P&L, operating working capital and cash flow.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial analyses for significant transactions, and major capital expenditure proposals, present leadership team with a clear and concise review of current and projected operating results.
- Manage daily / weekly P&L reporting and work with operations on forecasting recovery plans along with updating process driving continuous improvement.
- Provide required forecasting and business impacts on inventory management as it relates to working capital, LCM, and FCA analysis.
- Develop and implement plan for inventory counts (e.g., cycle count procedures or full physical counts)
- Assist in month, quarter, year end closes along with analysis and reconciliation.
- Manage special finance projects and other duties as assigned by the Controller.
- Performs all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct and SOX guidelines.
Education and Experience
- Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience within US public company environment.
