Position Summary :

The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for managing the entire revenue cycle process to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition for the company.

This role encompasses invoicing, AR follow-up, collections, cash applications, and client relationship management , requiring collaboration with various departments to streamline revenue operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Professional / Financial / B2B Services revenue cycle management and Time and Materials (T&M), Contract, and Ad Hoc billing .

Candidates with a background in multiple revenue cycle functions will be strongly considered. Medical Billers are welcome to apply, but please note that this is not a medical billing position .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage the end-to-end revenue cycle for an assigned group of clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and cash applications.
  • Develop, analyze, and present revenue cycle reports to senior management for data-driven decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving disputes related to billing and payments.
  • Lead efforts to optimize revenue recognition and identify process improvement opportunities by analyzing project data and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Work closely with internal departments, external partners, and clients to resolve billing issues and enhance the customer experience.
  • Facilitate and attend conference calls and meetings with internal and external partners, including clients.
  • Proactively own client requests, issues, and account reconciliations from initiation to completion.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through effective communication and excellent customer service.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, billing, or a related financial role .
  • Experience in Professional / Financial / B2B Services revenue cycle management preferred; Medical Billers welcome but must be aware that this is not a medical billing position .
  • Proven experience in Time and Materials (T&M), Contract, and Ad Hoc billing .
  • Strong tenure and a demonstrated history of contributing to long-term company success.
  • Experience in multiple aspects of the revenue cycle , including Billing, Collections, and Cash Applications .
  • Captive Reinsurance industry experience is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and billing software (Sage Intacct preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients via phone and email.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Awareness of SalesForce is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple client requests , balancing competing deadlines effectively.
