Description
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to operations during repairs.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including repairs and part replacements.
- Work closely with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed.
- Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety regulations at all times.
Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, ideally in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
