Job Summary
This position is responsible for serving in the Department of Athletics at Union University, a NCAA Division II member of the Gulf South Conference, in partnership with Sports Plus Rehab Centers (a division of West Tennessee Healthcare).

Essential Job Duties This position is a ten-month (August-May) appointment and provides a competitive compensation package that includes 18 credit hours tuition waiver for graduate degree classes and a stipend (over 10 months) provided by the university.
The Graduate Assistant reports to the Head Athletic Trainer. Duties include :
- Provide athletic training services for intercollegiate sports as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
- Assist with the planning, organization, coordination, and management of proper healthcare to Division II intercollegiate student-athletes.
- Assist with the overall operations of the athletic training facilities; and complete duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.

Other Job Duties Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program and Athletic Training Certification by the Board of Certification is required.
Eligibility for licensure in the State of Tennessee and current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Acceptance into a post-bachelor’s academic program at the University, as well as full-time course registration into the same program of study is also required.
