This candidate will lead the construction management of a Renovation Program containing both medium and large scale renovation projects within the Capital One branch and Café network.
This person will be responsible for driving approvals, timelines and closely managing the budget. This is a highly collaborative position with many stakeholders involved internally and externally.

This candidate must have extensive experience in financial and retail construction execution, with major technical expertise in building and structural systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience coordinating with Architects / Engineers, Building Departments & Codes Officials, and General Contractors & Facility Partner Construction Managers.
Construction experience within the Food & Beverage industry is a plus. The candidate must demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with multiple parties involved.
This position will report to the Branch Construction Program Lead and will interact with senior leadership within the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery through the Construction Documentation and Construction Administration phases of a project.
These activities include management of overall project timelines and CapEx budgets and coordination with internal and external stakeholders through the construction documentation and construction administration phases of a project.
Drive cross-functional projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met;
identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed; manage complex up and downstream project impacts.
Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
Prioritize and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
Conduct regular meetings with the project team. Document progress and report to stakeholders on project status.
Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
Collaborate with Strategy and Design teams to help shape program delivery

Solutions driven, with the ability to anticipate problems and proactively present multiple solutions to different audiences and drive consensus across teams on complex construction problems.
Ability to identify construction risk and implement comprehensive mitigation and contingency plans
Understanding of construction means and methods, cost, and milestones.
Proficiency in construction drawing, documentation and oversight
Work on large-scale complex, cross-departmental projects that have a direct impact on the company
Ability to manage Construction Program ranging from low cost, single attribute projects to full scale renovations
Ability to maintain accurate program forecasts relative to annual capital plan
This role will require approximately 40% travel to Cafés and Branches throughout the Nation and is not required to be in office.
Basic Qualifications :
At least 10 years of experience in construction management
At least 10 years of experience in vendor management or cost management
At least 10 years of experience managing General Contractors, AORs or Facility Partners.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
Licensed Architect, NCARB / AIA or PMP certification
Leed AP Certified
10+ years architectural or construction management experience within the financial / retail industry
10+ years People Leadership Experience
Facility Partner / Client Experience
Extensive experience in high-visibility locations with challenging coordination of infrastructure, permitting and vertical transportation

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
