We're seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team. Based in Bedford Park, IL, this role will manage the procurement of materials and supplies essential to department operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a knack for negotiation, and the ability to foster productive vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities :
- Procurement Management : Oversee procurement for department operations, ensuring materials are cost-effective and available when needed
- Trend Analysis : Review economic and market data to support purchasing decisions
- Inventory Process Development : Establish processes to monitor supply needs quarterly and annually
- Vendor Relationships and Negotiation : Build long-term relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing, supervise deliveries, and approve orders
- Liaison Duties : Serve as the point of contact between purchasing and management for specifications, quotes, and delivery terms
- Documentation and Record Maintenance : Ensure purchasing documents meet company standards, maintain records, and monitor price histories regularly
What We’re Looking For :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficiency in procurement software, Microsoft Office, and experience with SAGE is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
