SUMMARY OF JOB This position provides an opportunity to share one's life on a daily basis with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
Responsible for the overall support to individuals by teaching skills that foster independence and community integration.
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma Must be at least 18 years of age. Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate data systems.
One year experience in a caregiver role (work / volunteer / or life experience preferred in the intellectual disabilities service system.
Ability to facilitate communication between internal and external customers Excellent basic and persuasive communication skills Must have a valid PA drivers license, and satisfactory background checks including but not limited to (Pennsylvania Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance, Act 34 Criminal Clearance and Act 73 FBI Clearance).
