Recreational Therapist (CTRS) - Care Resources, Temporary Fall 2024 No Nights, Weekends or Holidays!! Care Resources is seeking a temporary Recreational Therapist to cover a leave this Fall 2024.
This Recreational Therapist works with a Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4 : 30pm schedule and is part of a team providing meaningful activities to enhance the lives of the Care Resources participants who come to our wonderful day center.
Key responsibilities include :
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate therapeutic and social activities
- Complete required documentation in the electronic medical record
- Coordinates work of the Recreation Therapy Assistants
Requirements :
- Requires knowledge normally acquired through a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation Therapy
- Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, participants, families, and the general public in the exchange of information and to handle situations in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner
- Experience working with frail to elderly populations is preferable
- Self-motivated and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
