Department
Research Development within the Division of Research seeks to fill the position of Faculty Research Development Coordinator.
Responsibilities
The majority of this staff position (55%) will include providing research support services that focus on career and professional development for Faculty researchers, e.
g., programming for early- and mid-career faculty or center directors, providing one-on-one consultations (e.g., assessing faculty needs for research grant activities and mentoring, developing a 5-year strategy for grant-seeking or a logic model for a research grant proposal), and developing communities of practice.
Additionally, the position will be responsible for leading RD education related to Broader Impacts (BI) (15%), i.e., projects within research programs focused on the potential to benefit or impact society.
This includes providing education to the RD support team and to researchers on developing a BI identity, creating a BI plan, finding community partners, and identifying program evaluators.
This position will also ensure that RD Broader Impacts resources and webpages remains current. This position will provide training (i.
e., workshops, events, webinars) related to their responsibilities above and provide media support for RD events (e.g., video recording and basic editing) (15%).
This position will also work with other RD staff on special projects (10%), such as collaboration activities, and provide other duties (5%) as assigned that align with FSU RD goals.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note : a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Preferred Qualifications
A doctoral degree and experience working in Academia.
