Paradigm is searching for aField Engineer (Metrology) to support our client a global leader inthe semiconductor industry.

You will be responsible for first lineof application service support and installation of our clientsinspection and metrologysystems.

Type : Direct Hire Fulltime

Location : Beaverton OROnsite

Asa Field Engineer youwill :

  • Workindependently to maintain regular communications withcustomers.
  • Provideprompt problem resolution to ensure total customersatisfaction.
  • Performapplications support and development installation training andhardware / software maintenance of our clients inspection andmetrology system.
  • Proactively andreactively look for solutions to prevent problems from occurring atcustomer sites.
  • Interface andcommunicate seamlessly with HQ teams and other regions asnecessary.

Requirements

Ourskills and experience wishlist :

  • BachelorsDegree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Computer ScienceMetrology preferred.
  • 35years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environmentexperience with Metrology and Inspection tools highlypreferred.
  • Robotics automation PLCprogramming experience.
  • Command linemachine setup experience.
  • Providetechnical service applications and hardware support directly tocustomers in the field at customers TD group focused on new andexisting product and nodedevelopment.
  • Inhouse technical phonesupport and trainingsessions.
  • Communicate with customersto diagnose problems with installed systems and correspondingapplications.
  • Ability to learn andservice troubleshooting electrical / electronic / applications andoverall equipment problems.
  • Servicecustomers under production timeline and meet customer expectationsfor troubleshooting installations service upgrades and performmaintenance as needed.
  • Ability tomanage projects and provide team leadership for both onsite andremote members.
  • Concise and detailedreporting between Customer and R&D as well as betweensuperiors and peers. Includes international teams and correspondingcommunication logistics.
  • Supportsales with presale applications / demonstrations with the support oflocal engineers close acceptance criteria and validate tools priorto shipment.
  • Followup on open itemsand special applications / parts to ensure ongoing customer serviceand qualitymanagement.
