Key Responsibilities
An Associate Director in our Investigation and Remediation practice group is responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing project delivery, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development efforts.
You will contribute to the firm’s success by :
- Providing strategic leadership and direction for state and local government client programs.
- Driving and implementing strategy for the group’s performance and growth.
- Collaborating closely with other members of the firm (including other leaders) to pursue business opportunities and / or share staffing resources to the benefit of our clients, projects, and company.
- Listening to the client’s needs and developing solutions to meet their needs.
- Overseeing the delivery of consulting services, including Corridor Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Drilling Investigations, regulatory coordination, response action planning, and environmental construction management.
- Working with the team to develop and implement innovative solutions to facilitate improved workflows.
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Mentoring and coaching staff members, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Keeping up with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure the continued excellence of our services.
- Collaborating with other departments within the firm to leverage expertise and resources for optimal client outcomes.
- Participating in business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and networking events.
- Tracking project performance, profitability, schedule, and ensuring the team has the right resources to complete client work.
- Establishing, building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Conducting internal and external business development activities for Investigation and Remediation services while partnering with other business units to cross-sell applicable Braun Intertec services to new and existing clients.
What We’d Love to See in You
- BS degree or higher in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 15-20+ years of experience with a proven track record of team leadership and project management.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing staff.
- Ability to collaboratively work with other offices to address national or regional client concerns.
- Strong desire to help build and grow a client base through diverse business development initiatives.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
