- A Research Farm Assistant (Farm Coordinator 1) assists with data sample collection for agricultural research and assists with tasks to complete research station operations;
- assists with layout of research plots, planting, and other tasks to establish field experiments; assists with data collection;
- harvests crops; sorts, counts, and weighs crop samples and takes other measurements; takes soil and plant samples; assists with preparing soils, plants, seeds, and transplants;
- waters and cares for plants in greenhouse; operates seed processing equipment or other lab equipment; operates tractors and farm machinery;
- weeds plots; sets up irrigation equipment; mows grass; assists with field days and tours; assists with maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment;
assists with other duties as assigned; works intermittent or flexible work schedule according to crop, soil, and weather conditions.
Position located at Muck Crops Ag Research Station, Willard, Ohio.
