DescriptionAmazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a sales professional to help manage our relationship with one of the largest media companies in the world.

The Global Account Manager (GAM) will be responsible for providing regional and segment based business leadership and management within this global account.

Your responsibilities will include identifying great ways to improve outcomes for customers, driving revenue & adoption, and helping refine the AWS strategy within the Media and Entertainment vertical market segment.

This role will own, define, develop, and execute a business plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets while thinking strategically about long term customer outcomes.

Key job responsibilitiesThe GAM is responsible for teaming with the customers Business & IT Organizations to build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while driving revenue and market share.

The GAM is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation.

The GAM will work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests.

Maintaining a robust sales pipeline and developing formal case studies and other forms of references highlighting activity and workloads running on AWS are core to the role.

Basic Qualifications7+ years of enterprise technology selling experience in large global accounts7+ years in identifying, developing, negotiating and closing large-scale technology deals as primary account owner3+ years working with a large media company in a cloud or SaaS technology roleA BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, or equivalent experiencePreferred QualificationsA strong understanding of AWS and / or technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)Experience managing large enterprise accounts within the industryFamiliarity with specific applications, workflows and partner ecosystemExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skillsExperience communicating and presenting to senior leadershipAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and / or business objectives.

Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
