Overview :
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing electrical projects from inception to completion.
This role requires strong project management skills, a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, and the ability to manage project financials.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical contracting industry and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Schedule and manage project timelines, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and resource allocation.
- Monitor project expenditures and financial performance, addressing any variances.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Address any issues or concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
- Delegate tasks effectively and provide guidance and oversight to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the electrical contracting or construction industry.
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Proven experience in managing project budgets and financials.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Micrsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
