Job Description
Financial Services seeks an Accountant Associate to perform accounting, banking and customer service functions requiring initiative and independent judgement in support of the goals and objectives of Financial Services.
This position is part of the ASU Payables and Reimbursements department.

Essential Duties
- Perform specialized Accounts Payable processes including but not limited to wire payments, check cancelations and reissues, check deposits.
- Obtaining, analyzing and verifying bank information for wire payments.
- Audit and approve invoices to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Manage Accounts Payable Outlook inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepares recurring accounting schedules, statements or reports.
- Provide customer service duties to aide departments and suppliers.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; OR, Four years professional accounting experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- Experience in Accounts Payable.
- Experience in wire payments.
- Evidence of effective communications skills.
- Experience in performing detailed numerical computations.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in preparing detailed reports.
- Experience in using organizational skills.

- Sit or stand for extended periods of time.
