Te Whatu Ora is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our Data & Digital Integration and Delivery team as a Regional Customer Engagement Lead.

This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to lead customer engagement and stakeholder alignment during a period of transition towards a Regional / National focus.

Reporting to the Regional Interim Data & Digital Lead, you will play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction, managing service delivery issues, and facilitating smooth interactions between customers and Data & Digital services.

Mōu About you

As the Regional Customer Engagement Lead, you will hold important responsibilities during our transition to a Regional / National focus within the regional customer leadership team.

Reporting to the Regional Data & Digital Lead, your main tasks will be to align customer engagement and stakeholder approaches between Data & Digital and regional services.

You'll also act as a temporary contact for key customers in the region, helping manage any service-related issues, incidents, or escalations while we develop and implement new Data & Digital structures and processes.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is a key aspect, ensuring customers are seamlessly connected to the appropriate Data & Digital services and well-informed about changes that might affect their interactions.

Monitoring customer satisfaction and taking steps to uphold service quality during this transition period will be crucial.

Any insights or emerging issues will be shared with the Regional Data & Digital Lead and National Transition Lead as needed.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with regional stakeholders is another significant aspect of the role. Your contribution will be invaluable in supporting our Data & Digital program throughout the initial ten-month transition, which sets the stage for the upcoming mobilisation phase focused on modernising our digital services.

  • Leadership : Prior service delivery leadership and relationship management experience with a focus on ICT service delivery and strong regional networks and relationships.
  • Change Management : Proven expertise in leading regional customer-facing transition projects, driving change initiatives, and maintaining customer loyalty during transitions.
  • Collaboration : Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, able to work effectively with diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels within the region.
  • Strategic Thinking : Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making data-driven decisions and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Cultural Competence : Understanding of Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the commitment to equity, with cross-cultural appreciation and knowledge of tikanga Māori (or willingness to learn).
  • Adaptability : Thrives in ambiguity, navigates change effectively, and maintains a flexible approach to tasks.
  • Education : Post-graduate qualification in Business, Commerce, or comparable extensive senior leadership experience
