New Flyer is seeking a talented and experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
You will work closely with the manufacturing team to optimize processes, ensure accuracy, and meet production targets.
- Develop CNC programs using CAD / CAM software.
- Set up and operate CNC machines based on program specifications.
- Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and inventory.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize designs for manufacturing.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD / CAM software and G-code programming.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience with CNC machine set-up and operation.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong mathematical and technical abilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
