TEAM OVERVIEW
KKR’s Capital Markets (KCM) division provides best in class support to our clients, portfolio companies, and our firm by tailoring capital markets advice and creating innovative solutions for investments.
The KCM team is responsible for advising and executing complex financing transactions, including acquisition financings, private equity syndications, buybacks, initial public offerings (IPOs), restructurings, etc.
The team also has capabilities to arrange debt and equity financings and structure investment products including asset-based lending facilities, leveraged loans, public equity, etc.
POSITION SUMMARY
KCM is seeking an Analyst / Associate to join its Equity Capital Markets and Co-Investment Partnerships practice. The team provides capital markets advice and plays an active role in raising equity across all asset classes and geographies for portfolio companies being acquired and monetized across the portfolio.
This includes leading co-investments, private placements, IPOs, and follow-on / monetizations for its companies. It also assists with managing investor relationships which is critical to executing these transactions.
For companies that have been taken public, the team provides on-going advisory, inclusive of capital structure advice and investor relations efforts.
The team works on the vast majority of deals executed globally by the firm and would be a great fit for candidates who want to combine a banking role with private equity exposure and direct investor engagement.
Analysts / Associates on the team cultivate deep relationships with portfolio companies, private equity colleagues, and investors to help guide the firm’s investments through the private and public markets.
Candidates should expect to be client facing, with frequent senior exposure across the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities for the Analyst / Associate will include assisting the team in all areas of transaction oversight and preparedness.
This largely includes advising deal and management teams, guiding potential investors through the co-investment process as KKR acquires businesses, preparing companies for the IPO process as KKR looks to monetize positions (including preparing materials, investor targeting, participating in S-1 drafting), and executing roadshows while taking orders from investors.
The focus of transactions will vary from LBOs (raising the equity tranche), Initial Public Offerings, Marketed Follow-ons, PIPE investments and convertible securities.
This is a deal-focused group, and Analysts / Associates will be expected to dig deep into every deal and understand the process from an investor and underwriting mindset.
The team operates as generalists sector-wise.
In addition to deal-related work, Analysts / Associates will be responsible for maintaining the team’s marketing materials, using data to create presentations for portfolio companies, assisting with valuation analysis, and helping to work alongside banking partners to guide portfolio companies through the public markets.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of investment banking with some experience in equity capital markets transactions, and can demonstrate raw analytical horsepower and finance / modeling skills.
This is a dynamic and nimble team, and strong candidates should have the ability to multi-task and clearly communicate qualitative and quantitative concepts.

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
