Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Water Resources Design Engineer to join our client's team. As a Water Resources Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and design solutions related to water resources projects.
Responsibilities :
- Developing stormwater management plans and designs
- Performing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and analysis
- Preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
- Conducting site visits and inspections
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
- Participating in project meetings and communicating with clients
Requirements
- 3-5 years of hydrologic / hydraulic design experience, particularly knowledge of local / county government, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia guidelines and permitting processes for storm drainage design, stormwater management design, sediment & erosion control plans, bridge scour analysis, floodplain analysis and / or stream restoration design.
- A licensed professional engineer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Other desired skills include : Rosgen Stream Certification Level 2 or higher, familiarity with project contractual requirements and experience working effectively as a liaison with Regulatory Agencies, General Contractors and Owners.
- Some experience with project development / management is desirable.
- Excellent computer skills, including CADD / Civil 3Dand / or MicroStation design software and hydraulic modeling programs along with Office products (Word, Excel, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary
