What you'll do...
As part of Walmart's Social Commerce team, you will be building highly scalable and reliable android applications which will drive the next generation of affiliates and social commerce experiences.
You’ll independently handle high impact, critical software / systems monitoring issues, troubleshoot business and production issues.

About Team :
Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders.
We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites.
What you'll do :
Design and develop highly scalable e-commerce applications for the Android platform.
Solve complex software systems problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology
Gain exposure to various emerging technologies used in Marketing and E-commerce platforms.
Drive projects of high visibility across the organization.
- Participates in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions;
- gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirement); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing;
- communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes;
enhancing design to prevent re-occurrences of defects; ensuring on-time delivery.
What you'll bring :
10+ years of experience designing and building scalable and reliable mobile front-end applications.
Expert knowledge of Java and the JDK
Expert knowledge of Kotlin and React-Native
Expert knowledge of the Android SDK - Advanced Android UI Skills (Fragments, Custom view components)
Solid understanding of the Android application life cycle
Proficient with event driven architecture
Proficient in RESTful Services, GraphQL, Java, Spring Boot / Play Framework, RDBMS, NoSql
Proficient with Designing and building APIs
Experience writing multi-threaded and Networked apps
Expert level debugging and analysis skills using ADB
Experience with the application submission / provisioning process
Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical discussions.
Have designed and developed a complete Android app from top to bottom.
Expert knowledge of IntelliJ or Android Studio
Expert knowledge of services as it relates to mobile apps
Experience in production system operations (logging, telemetry, alerting etc.)
Extensive knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architecture.
Experience with CI / CD and unit testing
The keen eyes for detail and desire to learn, win, collaborate, and relish a challenge.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2 : 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications...
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.
