Description & Requirements
The Blainey lab is seeking an exceptional postdoctoral associate to contribute to solving the antibiotic resistance crisis.
This postdoc will join a collaborative team of scientists and engineers to apply the lab’s powerful and well-established kChip droplet microfluidic platform to drive the discovery of new molecular entities.
This work entails deep engagement with the Antimicrobial Discovery Center at Northeastern University and other project teams in the Defeating Antibiotic Resistance through Transformative Solutions (DARTS) program of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).
This individual will have a background in chemistry, microbiology, and / or microdevices and have some expertise in computational or statistical data analysis.
The individual will lead the microfluidics, data collection, and analysis aspects of project work and partner with Dr. Blainey and collaborating groups to drive the project forward overall and meet reporting responsibilities.
This position may entail supervision of up to 2 other researchers and scope to additional applications of the kChip and other technology platforms.
The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard is the world's leading biomedical research institute dedicated to the bold mission of using the full power of genomics to transform the understanding and treatment of disease.
We seek to describe all of the molecular components of life and their connections; discover the molecular basis of major human diseases;
develop effective new approaches to diagnostics and therapeutics; and disseminate discoveries, tools, methods, and data openly to the entire scientific community. Qualifications
