Description
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the event strategy, as well as planning and execution of events, webinars and conferences to achieve the B2B business objectives, taking full responsibility for each stage of the process.
You’ll work closely with the team to create and deliver an event strategy and plan that supports and complements wider marketing ambitions, with a focus on supporting our efforts in penetrating select industries and accounts.
This role is based in-person in New York, reporting to the Senior Director of Event Marketing.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and the Business Proposition team to develop an event strategy targeting select industries and accounts that integrates with the digital strategy to drive awareness, build our reputation and deepen relationships.
Understand the events for our target industries, stay abreast of latest trends, and monitor competitors’ event activity.
Manage, from start to finish, the ideation, planning, and delivery of assigned events
Plan and deliver a wide range of events including hosted in-person events, webinars, conference sponsorship, and participation at WSJ (Journal House) and Barron’s hosted events.
Stand up, and execute quarterly Peer-to-Peer network events building a community within select industries and decision makers from key accounts.
Management of all event logistics, including contract negotiation, and storage and shipment of booths, promotional items, printed materials, etc.
Analyze event performance to inform data-driven decisions and creation of future events plans.
Manage events budget, and related processes involving procurement and finance
Creation of post-event reports to actively track and optimize the performance of each event.
What You’ll Bring
7-10 years of events experience, ideally within the B2B space targeting Financial Services firms (Banks, Payments, Fintechs, Securities,Wealth Management), Oil & Gas, Government, Technology and / or Consulting & Research
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA a plus
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed company model
Strong collaboration and influencing skills
Experience managing heavy and conflicting event schedules
Experience orchestrating multiple event formats including webinars, proprietary events, niche industry conferences, peer-to-peer groups, major industry conferences, etc.
Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize, manage stakeholders at all levels across the business and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
