Staff Accountant - Medical Setting

Vaco is currently seeking an Accountant for a staff role! Medical setting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records in compliance with GAAP and healthcare regulations.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting efforts.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial management and reporting.
• Assist with audits and prepare necessary documentation as needed.
• Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and healthcare financial practices.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
