Job Description and Duties
The CalSTRS Enterprise IT Solutions & Innovation Division is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Information Technology Supervisor II on the Business Analysis and Prototyping Unit in the Technology Services Branch.
The Enterprise IT Solutions and Innovation Division provides solutions development and related support services aimed at delivering and optimizing the CalSTRS enterprise-wide, technology-based solutions to the business.
This division works in collaboration with the Project Management, Infrastructure and Operations, Enterprise IT Governance and CalSTRS business areas in the delivery of quality solutions that meet or exceed the business needs of CalSTRS.
This division manages and provides oversight to Solution Services, START Solutions Development, Web Solutions Development and Data Solution Services Units.
The Technology Services Branch is committed to providing quality and timely technical support and services to the organization.
Technology Services provides resources to successfully meet the technical demands of the organization.Under the general supervision of the Director of Enterprise IT Solutions and Innovation, the Business Analysis and Prototyping Supervisor is responsible for business analysis for custom application development, COTS and SaaS product deployment, implementation, and system integration as well as business-centric prototyping for cloud and innovation.
The Business Analysis and Prototyping Supervisor must engage, support, and implement division and branch strategic goals from agile delivery, cloud solutions development, automation initiative, pension system enhancement, and business intelligence & data analytics.
The Business Analysis and Prototyping Supervisor must lead by example with strong hands-on application analysis & design and software development lifecycle knowledge, skills, and experiences, and guide the team with own experiences, best practices, and modern technologies and skills.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills in addition to the Desirable Qualifications :

- Ability to advocate and lead teams to digital transformation and cultural transformation to agile, innovation, and high performing.
- Ability to lead by example and develop functional design, technical pilots, and innovative solutions.
- Possess professional certificate in IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) or other globally recognized Business Analysis certificate, Agile (e.
g. Scaled Agile Framework, Scrum Master), and / or AWS / Azure / GCP.
Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.
Telework Information : We offer a hybrid approach including in-office and remote work solutions with staff working on-site at our Headquarters in West Sacramento 2-3 days per week.

Working Conditions
All staff of CalSTRS are employees of the State of California and subject to California employment taxes and withholdings.
Upon appointment, staff are required to provide a current California address to CalSTRS Human Resources to be used as a remote work location.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment with CalSTRS.
