Vehicle Purchasing Specialist

Capital Nissan of Wilmington is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vehicle Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for the automotive industry.

This role is crucial in ensuring that our inventory meets the highest standards and that we secure the best possible deals on vehicle acquisitions.

What you'll be doing :

• Identify and evaluate potential vehicle suppliers and sources.
• Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of vehicles to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
• Negotiate purchase terms and prices with suppliers, dealers, and auction houses.
• Manage and maintain relationships with existing suppliers and build new partnerships.
• Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Coordinate logistics for the transportation and delivery of purchased vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and transactions.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand inventory needs and preferences.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to vehicle purchasing.

What we're looking for :

• Proven experience in vehicle purchasing, automotive sales, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and market trends.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant tools.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required; additional certifications or training in automotive fields is a plus.
