Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Experienced-Level Weight Operations Tech Analyst to become part of the Engineering Group in San Antonio, Texas.
This position will support the San Antonio Innovation Cell and Tooling Group. The Candidate will be responsible for weighing F-15, F-18 and C-17 aircraft.
The individual will be required to calculate center of gravity using AWBS charts and forms. This position will also be responsible gathering accurate load cell and platform data.
The positions requires individual to perform inventory of aircraft prior to weight and balance.
Position Responsibilities :
- Develops complex inventory equipment lists, conducts inventories, weighs aircraft, determines center of gravity of aircraft and documents results.
- Balances flight control surfaces. Calculates / adjusts weight requirements to balance flight control surfaces following repair and / or repaint.
- Develops flight load planning and directs airplane loading of variable load elements.
- Inspects aircraft to calculate effects of actual weight and location of variable load elements on airplane gross weight and center of gravity and prepares flight manifests for pilot's signatures and flight release.
- Weighs and documents actual weights and centers of gravity of components and assemblies.
- Resolves complex issues with equipment, components and weighing systems.
- Works under general direction.
- Performs other duties as assigned and may be requested to support other programs as needed.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
An interim and / or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (San Antonio, TX).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :
- Experience with weight and balance Forms and Charts including Chart A, Form B, Chart C, Chart E and Form F.
- Current access to AWBS (Automatic Weight and Balance System) with central server access.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :
- Current active qualification to perform weight and balance on of the following : F-15, F-18 or C-17.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Typical Education & Experience :
Education / experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.
g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range : $61,200 - $82,800.
