Corporate Controller

A CorporateController is a seniorlevel executive responsiblefor overseeing the overall financial management and accountingfunctions of a corporation.

This role involves managing theaccounting team ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financialreporting developing and enforcing accounting policies andmaintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

The CorporateController plays a critical role in strategic financial planningbudgeting and risk management working closely with the CFO andother senior executives to support the companys financialgoals.

KeyResponsibilities :

• FinancialManagement :
• Overseeall accounting operations including general ledger accounts payableaccounts receivable payroll and taxcompliance.
• Ensure the timely and accuratepreparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP andother regulatory requirements.
• Monitor thecompanys financial performance providing insights andrecommendations to seniormanagement.
• FinancialReporting :
• Leadthe preparation and presentation of consolidated financial reportsfor internal and external stakeholders including quarterly andannual reports.
• Ensure compliance with SECreporting requirements if applicable.
• Reviewand approve all financial statements and reports prepared by theaccountingteam.
• InternalControls andCompliance :
• Developimplement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard thecompanys assets and ensure the integrity of financialdata.
• Ensure compliance with all relevantaccounting standards regulatory requirements and companypolicies.
• Coordinate and manage internal andexternal audits ensuring timely and accuratecompletion.
• BudgetingandForecasting :
• Leadthe annual budgeting process working closely with department headsto develop accurate and achievablebudgets.
• Oversee the preparation of financialforecasts and analyze variances between actual results and budgetedfigures.
• Provide strategic financial insightsto support business decisionmaking and longtermplanning.
• TeamLeadership andDevelopment :
• Managementor and develop the accounting team ensuring high performanceand professional growth.
• Set performance goalsconduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback andtraining.
• Foster a collaborative andhighperforming work environment within the finance and accountingdepartments.
• StrategicPlanning :
• Workclosely with the CFO and other senior executives to develop andimplement the companys financialstrategy.
• Participate in strategic initiativessuch as mergers and acquisitions capital raising and corporaterestructuring.
• Evaluate financial risks andopportunities advising management on potential impacts to thecompanys financialhealth.
• ProcessImprovement :
• Continuouslyassess and improve accounting processes and systems to enhanceefficiency accuracy and scalability.
• Lead orparticipate in the implementation of new accounting software orsystemupgrades.
• RiskManagement :
• Monitorand manage financial risks including credit liquidity andoperational risks.
• Ensure adequate insurancecoverage and compliance with financial covenants and othercontractualobligations.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA orMBA stronglypreferred.
• Experience : 10 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 yearsin a senior management role preferably as a Controller or AssistantController.
