The Team :

At Cart.com the People Team is a key driver of our business success. We partner closely with each business unit to understand their needs and ensure we focus on what matters most.

The People Insights team is a new muscle within Cart.com and was created out of an increasing need to have data backed decision making across the company.

The People Team has 5 distinct focus areas :

  • People Acquisition : Acquire the right people at the right time to create high performing teams.
  • People Partnerships : Accelerate business objectives through optimization of high performing teams.
  • People Insights : Drive data backed decisions across the org to efficiently scale and perform.
  • People Experience : Design programs that develop and accelerate high performing teams.
  • People Solutions : Accelerate operational efficiency through delivery of the systems and tools to enable high performing teams.

The Cart.com People Team is a remote team distributed across the US, Mexico and Poland. It is comprised of a diverse collection of humans including foodies, musicians, moms, dads, collegiate athletes, military veterans, world travelers, artists, and so much more. Join Us!

The Role :

As Vice President, People Partners you will play a pivotal role in designing and nurturing the company culture, while driving initiatives and partnerships that attract, retain, and develop top talent across our corporate offices (TX, MX) and our fulfillment site network (TX, UT, OH, PA, NK, TN).

You will be a strategic talent partner and coach to executives and their teams across the company, while also leading a global team of highly dedicated HR generalists and business partners.

You will also work tight integration with our people team centers of excellence.

What You’ll Do :

Leadership : Lead a dedicated global team to ensure high employee engagement, compliance, and best practices across our People team.

Serve as a coach and mentor fostering a continuous learning and high accountability team environment

  • Strategy : Develop and implement forward-looking talent strategies that support short-term and long-term business goals, including dynamic org design, talent assessment, leadership coaching and team health
  • Business Partnership : Build strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders as a trusted advisor, through intentional listening, and by providing insight and recommendations on people-related issues.

Provide HR subject matter expertise on organizational design or other key organizational impacting initiatives such as engagement / operating model changes, mergers, acquisitions, and business relocations

  • Performance Management : Influence the design and implement performance management strategies that retain top performers and facilitate continuous, goal setting, and growth to achieve individual and organizational goals
  • Employee Relations and Engagement : Foster positive employee relations through proactive communication, conflict resolution, and initiatives that promote a healthy and collaborative work environment.

Influence and champion the policies and procedures set by the People Solutions team

  • Metrics and Analytics : Partner with the People Insights team and utilize key People metrics and data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of initiatives, identify trends, and make informed decisions
  • Recruitment : Partner with the corporate and site talent acquisition partners to ensure timely placement and onboarding of new employees & temporary staff

  • Influences others, including senior leaders, in developing and implementing HR strategies; able to present to audiences of various sizes, to articulate complex ideas and persuade, and to negotiate with others.

What You’ve Done :

  • Proven success leading a business partnership team in a global environment
  • Technical expertise with a minimum of 10 years’ experience working as an HR Business Partner preferably with a global company
  • HR Functional knowledge Recognized as a professional with detailed understanding of employee relations, talent acquisition, learning and organization development, compensation, benefits, and diversity and inclusion to advise business / functional area leaders on shaping a work force that meets their priorities.
  • Success leading in and through change scaling teams
  • Combination of previous experience om Warehouse / Fulfillment and SaaS environment preferred

Physical Demands & Working Conditions :

  • This is a hybrid position with the ideal candidate located in either Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Groveport, OH or Burlington, NJ
  • Must have proper home working conditions and ability to work Cart.com corporate hours of 9am to 5pm central time
  • Must have the ability / desire to travel on a periodic basis primarily to our headquarters in Houston, TX and to our site locations.

Possible travel to Mexico and Poland.
