Ideal candidates must be analytical, detail oriented, self-motivated, and can clearly communicate with a diverse group of people with varying skillset and knowledge levels.
The position will work cross-functionally with various internal teams in a fast paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be essential in this role, as will a keen attention to detail.
This role is responsible for overall survey (CAHPS) operations and leading the responsible team members. The role is also responsible for coordinating and leading the respective CAHPS site visits and audits conducted by CMS.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities
- Review / analyze the protocols and guidelines defined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) for various compliance based programs.
- Create specification / requirement documentation for new software development.
- Coordinate new development (software) build work / tasks specific to product line.
- Communicate with IT and business resources to collect requirements and translate contextual need for specified requirements.
- Manage day-to-day operational oversight activities.
- Provide recommendations to help improve processes in an effort to maximize operational efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Prepare CMS-required documentation, and updates to documentation, on an ongoing-basis.
- Prepare for and present during onsite visits by CMS’s governing entity; includes preparatory documentation and quality control.
- Clearly communicate project statuses and updates to various cross functional team members.
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
- BA or BS degree; technology, business, or other technical subject area plus.
- 3+ years of experience with CAHPS survey or similar CMS programs
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Very comfortable utilizing Microsoft programs; particularly Excel.
- Basic understanding of writing SQL queries a plus.
- Enjoys working within a collaborative, team-focused environment and has a can-do attitude.
- Willingness to learn new software and technologies.
- Self-motivated and directed, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communicates well with diverse groups of people; people of various skillsets and knowledge levels. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Healthcare knowledge a plus.
