Job Description

The Sales Director directs sales initiatives and develops the tactics, operational plans, and processes to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives.

The Sales Director will develop opportunities, lead sale interaction, manage and develop specified / agreed customer’s accounts to initiate and maintain favorable relationships with customers.

This position is located in The Woodlands, TX and will report to the CEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with rest of sales and technical teams
  • Meets with key clients and assisting account managers with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Recommends or approves budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.
  • Be able to travel (domestic and international) and spend most of their time with customers.
  • Participate and lead sales and strategy meetings.
  • Participate and lead office meetings in the corporate office as needed.
  • Maintain plans, reports and initiatives using CRM tools
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree (Chemistry) or Engineering degree. MBA / Masters in Sales Management, Marketing, Business Management as an additional Qualification is preferred.
  • At least 12 years of experience in industrial / sales / commercial experience in oil and gas industry, chemical / other manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • Ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends.
  • Motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, self- motivated, handle multiple assignments and meet short term deadlines
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
