Villa Saint Joseph is currently hiring for a License Practical Nurse (LPN) Pool. VSJ offers a positive work environment with multiple shifts available.
LPN's job duties include but are not limited to the below summary :
Job Summary :
To provide excellence in nursing care to our residents in collaboration with other healthcare team members. To ensure safety and promote independence when appropriate in a retirement setting.
- One (1) weekend / a month requirement.
- Oversees the care of residents and all the components of that care.
- Provide medical treatments as ordered.
- Responds to immediate family member concerns regarding resident care.
- Administers medications in a safe and effective manner.
- Participates in the initial and subsequent updating of care requirements for each resident, including working with DON and RN to determine level of care.
- Able to collaborate with health care professionals via phone or tele-med.
- Records each medication delivery from Pharmacy during the shift and ensures accuracy.
- Communicates with physicians, and other professional service providers, regarding resident care issues and the scheduling of appointments and transportation.
- Oversees the Nursing Assistants.
- Responds to any immediate need or emergency situation in the building.
- Able to develop and implement care plan and update as needed.
Job Requirements :
- Must possess an LPN license.
- Must be over 18 years of age.
- Must have licensed in the BPOA PA Licensing System.
- CPR / AED certification required.
- Experience in long term care required.
