This role will be to provide technical maintenance support for rotating and fixed equipment at the Plaquemine site. You will be a technical focal point for planning and execution of work and will also be the first call for emergencies, working with operations to prioritize daily maintenance work.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for planners and craft personnel.
- Own maintenance procedure program.
- Provide pipe and paint specs as needed.
- Create welding guidelines for planned and emergency work.
- Provide technical expertise in the design, selection, installation, and startup of critical rotating equipment.
- Define scope of work for repairs.
- Conduct root cause analysis.
- Manage large equipment repairs onsite.
- Manage large equipment repairs offsite at repair shops.
- Own the work queue of repairable equipment for MRO.
- SAP super user.
- Work with Maintenance Manager to control maintenance budget.
- Act as maintenance focal point for projects.
- Work with the team to drive EH&S performance.
- Collaborate with operations and scheduling team to determine work priority.
Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or 10+ years of maintenance experience with rotating and fixed equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot rotating and fixed equipment.
- Knowledge of root cause investigation processes.
- Knowledge of pipe specs, P&IDs, and paint specs.
- Prior experience with SAP / Maintenance Management Software preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to travel on occasion (minimal).
- Candidates will need to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
