Salary : $180-$200 per day
THE ROLE
Our teachers create classroom cultures that drive student achievement, personal growth, and creativity for every one of our scholars, building a game-changing school that redefines public education in Atlanta.
As a Gifted Math Teacher, your job is to hold your scholars to a high bar academically and behaviorally and to grow as a professional in your work every day.
Supporting a caseload of 40 scholars, split across four sections, is an incredible privilege and requires complete and unwavering commitment.
THE PERSON
As a Gifted Math Teacher you will :
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging math curricula for gifted scholars in grades 2 through 5.
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of scholars.
- Assess and track scholar progress, providing regular feedback to scholars and parents.
- Collaborate with other educators to support the overall educational experience of scholars.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic excellence.
- Utilize a variety of instructional materials and methods to enhance scholar learning and engagement.
- Communicate effectively with scholars, parents, and school staff regarding scholar performance and needs.
THE MUST HAVES
Prior Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Teaching certification in Elementary Education or Math, with a focus on Gifted education.
- Proven experience teaching math to gifted scholars in grades 2 through 5.
- Strong understanding of advanced math concepts and ability to present them in an accessible manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
Work Demands
Schedule is 8 : 30am - 2 : 30pm, Monday - Thursday
