Responsibilities : Guest Relations :
Guest Relations :
- Greet guests with warmth and sophistication, ensuring a memorable first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the dining experience.
Front-of-House Operations :
- Oversee the flow of service, coordinating between the kitchen and the dining room.
- Ensure the restaurant is set up to the highest standards of cleanliness and aesthetics.
Staff Leadership :
- Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house staff to deliver impeccable service.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate special instructions and menu changes.
Customer Service :
- Anticipate and address guests' needs, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns with professionalism and grace.
Wine and Menu Knowledge :
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the menu and wine list.
- Assist guests with menu selections and provide recommendations.
Problem Resolution :
- Resolve any issues that may arise during service promptly and diplomatically.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff to address guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Maitre D' or in a similar role within a fine dining establishment.
- Strong knowledge of fine dining etiquette, menu offerings, and wine service.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Impeccable grooming and presentation.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Education :
Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
