We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Development and Communications Director to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a strong background in sales and a proven track record in prospecting, developing and maintaining relationships with private donors, and executing successful marketing strategies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of our strategic development plan, with a focus on major gifts and cultivating relationships with board of directors and C-suite executives.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the development and execution of comprehensive fundraising strategies, including prospecting, cultivating, and securing major gifts from private donors.
- Develop and implement a robust communications strategy that effectively markets our organization and its mission to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to our development team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with board members, C-suite executives, and other key stakeholders, ensuring their ongoing engagement and support.
- Work closely with the leadership team to identify new funding opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of the development plan, ensuring that all activities align with our organization's strategic goals.
- Monitor and report on development activities and performance, providing insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a development role within marketing and development in a non-profit, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts from private donors.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing effective marketing and communication strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the board of directors and C-suite executives.
- Proficient in the use of CRM systems and other fundraising tools.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
