About This Role
Manages a team of intermediate and experienced Account Management professionals. Leads The Home Depot account activities and ensures operational plans and objectives are met.
Responsible for making significant improvements to processes and standards in order to enhance performance of the account.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of sales goals and growth of The Home Depot Channel (THD)
- Establish and cultivate a strategic partnership with the merchant team at THD
- Effectively owns the process of customer engagement. Works cross-functionally with all departments to achieve defined agenda for PLRs, trade shows, Business Reviews, etc.
- Provides monthly updates on customer financial performance and results to the Executive Leadership Team during Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and as necessary.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience influencing pricing, terms, and annual contracts.
- External relationship (THD) : Works directly with the THD merchant / IPR team to build effective 12-month sales plans online, off-shelf, and on shelf.
Negotiates pricing, backend terms, planogram, and product assortment.
- Internal Relationship : Manages relationships with Demand / CPFR team, Marketing teams, and Trade teams to ensure customer expectations are met in a timely manner.
- Assists in developing Annual Operating Plan (AOP) to define budget and sales plan.
- Responsible for growth and coaching of direct report(s).
- General Manager’s mindset with self-starter initiative to own and run the account.
- Maintain and publish weekly sales information for internal team and ELT team.
- Directly works with forecasting team to ensure products are produced to meet customer expectations within timeline parameters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ Years of National Account Management Experience
- Ability to travel overnight 15-20%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with THE HOME DEPOT or other large home improvement and / or large national retailers.
- Lives in Atlanta or willing to relocate.
- Makes fast decisions balancing intuition and facts, taking conscious and calculated risks.
- Creates a positive environment while remaining focused on priorities and tackling obstacles.
- Experience building teams or driving team transformation.
