Job Summary :
Hybrid position - 2-3 days onsite a week. Flexible asideThursdays. Thursdays are a department in-office day for department meetings.
The Tax Reporting Analyst II aids in the preparation of overall tax filings for federal, state and local income and non-income tax returns in accordance with laws of the applicable jurisdictions for all CareSource entities.
Essential Functions :
- Aid in the preparation of the company’s income tax work papers and returns including Form 990, Form 1120, and Form 1065
- Aid in the preparation of the company’s income tax provision, unrelated income tax provision, contingency reserves, valuation allowances and ASC 740-10;
provide support in identifying, documenting, and monitoring any uncertain tax positions under ASC 740-10
- Aid in the preparation of the tax footnote for annual audited financials statements and assist with federal and state income tax and MAR audits
- Assist with Form 1095 compliance and Form 1099 compliance
- Responsible for preparation and reconciliation of Unclaimed Property reports and filings
- Prepare monthly sales tax accruals and reconciliations in coordination with the Accounting Department. File and pay monthly sales and use tax returns.
- Lead and identify ways to improve efficiency of tax department processes
- Periodically lead training and information sessions to other departments in the organization
- Calculate and pay Ohio CAT tax, tangible personal property tax, and other miscellaneous tax filings
- Research relevant tax law, rules, regulations and document findings to aid in decision making
- Support leadership in all income and non-income federal / state notices and audits
- Support leadership and the tax department in other tasks as requested
- Assess internal controls and make appropriate recommendations for changes to ensure compliance with MAR, regulatory and other organization requirements
- Perform any other job-related instructions, as requested
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Minimum of two (2) years of tax and / or accounting experience, public accounting or equivalent required
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills :
- Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite to include Word, Power Point and Outlook
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Licensure and Certification :
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred and provides credit for one (1) year of related experience
Working Conditions :
General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation Range :
$60,300.00 - $96,500.00
