We are searching for an outgoing, enthusiastic, upbeat EXPERIENCED front office person. In addition to great customer service skills, we are looking for an individual with dog handling experience.
Attention to detail, reliability and multitasking abilities are a must. Must be computer savvy. General cleaning skills required.
Must be comfortable learning the kennel tech position and getting dirty.
This is a very high paced position. You will be on your feet most of your shift, so it is NOT a typical desk job! If you are not excellent at multi-tasking, then this is not the position for you.
Responsibilities include :
- Interacting with clients and their dogs
- Communicating information and requirements to clients
- Making reservations and scheduling appointments
- Checking dogs in / out of daycare and boarding and collecting payment
- Handling dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Communicating health and behavior information to / from clients
Prior work or volunteer experience at a pet daycare, boarding facility, shelter, or veterinary office is strongly preferred.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- Knowledge of dog health and behavior
- Attention to detail
- Ability to understand and interpret detailed instructions
- Experience in multitasking and handling a BUSY office setting
- Comfortable being active and on your feet - this is not a typical desk job!!
- Computer savvy, basic math skills
- Physically able to clean, handle large dogs, and pick up after dogs
- Reliable transportation
- Great memory retention
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
