EY wavespace Lead Facilitator & Experience Designer (Senior Manager) collaborates with a wide-ranging set of stakeholders in the EY wavespace, across the broader EY community, and externally with clients to design and deliver bespoke and repeatable experiences based on a strong design thinking foundation.
Must have the capability to manage the end-to-end delivery of wavespace sessions with special attention to event design, support, and logistics that enable a world-class experience.

Key responsibilities include :
- Brand ambassador, custodian, and curator of EY wavespace across Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Represent Johannesburg wavespace across the global wavespace community, attending global and EMEIA calls and responding to requests.
- Drive engagement with the local EY wavespace Council, linking into the Council for input and support where required.
- Integrate into Account Planning for Top 25 Channel 2, Top 20 Channel 1, and other accounts noted as strategically important.
- Collaborate with Strategic Deal Management team on key strategic pursuits.
- Build and maintain a network of EY SMRs in order to create the right solutions and wavespace experiences for clients and bring the best of EY to those conversations.
- Promote the EY wavespace, encouraging adoption and application, especially among the Top 25 Channel 2 and Top 20 Channel 1 accounts, and support them to achieve their wavespace usage targets.
- Be the primary interface to wavespace clients, taking accountability for all aspects of planning and delivering a wavespace design and / or experience.
- Manage resources, session scope, estimates, and actual costs.
- Coordinate session design to include Miro, Co-Create, Slido, and other immersive tools including metaverse & GenAI environments, as appropriate to the session design.
- Oversee and maintain experience documentation through global wEP (wavespace Experience Platform), ensure data completeness, customer feedback, and successful close out.
- Accountable for experience follow-up, reporting, and billing.
- Maintain the EY wavespace brand and consistency in delivery of experiences.
- Manage Customer Experience Co-Ordinator and wavespace Technician.
- Understand the session purpose and objectives in order to manage changes to session scope and timing.
- Participate in design strategy for concurrent client sessions.
- Display high levels of emotional intelligence and deep understanding of the importance of energy, flow, and inspiration.
- Offer ideas on how to approach client challenges including industry trends and user experience.
- Build out and maintain a co-facilitator community across Sub-Saharan Africa, Service Lines, Sectors, FOPs, and Solutions.
To qualify for the role, you must have :
- Bachelor's degree and / or Design thinking qualification.
- Proven track record of successful design and delivery of innovation sessions.
- Comfortable working closely with C-suite level executives.
- Well-developed collaboration ability.
- 1+ years of working with facilitation tools.
- Knowledge of EY’s wavespace methodologies.
- Strong demonstrable Emotional Intelligence (EQ).
- Strong internal network across EY to help accelerate the adoption of wavespace.
- Experience of designing, managing & running multiple day events for external clients.
- Ability to manage teams to produce compelling content for client events.
- Self-motivated, organised, and independent.
