At CPAC, the friendships and memories we make are just as important as the safety of our guests. We believe in each of our patrons walking away with great memories each time they visit.
Achieving this goal begins with exceptional employee experiences. Lifeguards learn teamwork, problem-solving, communication and collective leadership skills.
Our lifeguards also work with local paramedics and learn life-saving techniques. Join us in keeping our community safe while working alongside your friends!
Initial interviews begin January 2024.
Key Responsibilities
Five (5) important fundamentals of being a Lifeguard :
- Supervise the safety of patrons both in and out of the water
- Respond to emergency situations
- Enforce rules, perform cleaning duties on and around the pool decks
- Provide first-aid to patrons
- Engage in exceptional customer service to our members and daily guests
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
The following requirements apply to all applicants :
- Must be 15 years of age on or before June 5, 2024.
- Must also be able to swim 200 yards (freestyle, breaststroke or combination, without stopping)
- Tread water for 2 minutes without use of hands
- Remove a dive brick or training mannequin from 12ft of water.
- Availability to train during the months of March, April, and May is required.
- Must earn StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification / license during the pre-season spring training.
Compensation & Benefits
Enjoy the summer of 2024 working outdoors in a fun, team-oriented environment from Memorial Day through Labor Day. You will gain lifelong skills and make great friends throughout the summer season.
All training and one (1) employee uniform is provided at no cost (must purchase training textbook for $35).
First year guards will earn $15.00 per hour.
