Job Description
Functioning under general supervision, the Clinical Nurse III is a highly proficient practitioner possessing an in-depth knowledge of the art and science of nursing.
This level clinician initiates, directs and supervises patient care and patient / family teaching. Serves as a professional role model and resource person within the hospital.
Patients served may include neonate through adult-geriatric.

Qualifications for this position are as follows : 1) certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) within 1 year; 2) successful completion of an RNFA program that meets the AORN standards for RN first assistant education programs and is accepted by CCI;
3) compliance with statutes, regulations, and institutional policies relevant to RNFAs. (2010 Perioperative Standards and Recommended Practices, pg.
745). Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Maryland. Successful completion of required hospital nursing and unit orientation.
Maintains criteria for and has demonstrated proficiency at the Clinical Nurse III level. Candidate will be required to assume additional clinical and administrative responsibilities for the unit.
Telemetry Nurse must pass a basic arrhythmia exam and have ability to recognize critical rhythms and seek intervention.
