Rolling Hills Hospital is looking for a dynamic Nurse Manager (RN) to join our Nursing Leadership team and assist in guiding the Nursing Services department.
The Nurse Manager is a vital member of the Nursing Team at Rolling Hills Hospital. Provides oversight and management of the twenty-four hour operations of assigned patient care units with the goal of maintaining quality and safety, enhancing efficiencies, managing resources, and optimizing patient and staff satisfaction.
Key role in the Nursing Leadership team involved in the recruitment of new employees, the nursing orientation program and on-boarding processes, and the continuing nursing education processes.
Responsible for the management of FTE’s and budget adherence. Responsible for the management of staff performance and participates in the appraisal of staff performance evaluations.
Responsible for the development and implementation of quality initiatives and ongoing performance monitoring with goal of guiding nursing practice and enhancing the quality of nursing services provided.

Education / Training :
Master’s Degree in Nursing or related health field is preferred. Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Nursing with combination experience would be considered.
Licensure / Certification :
- Currently licensed to practice by the Tennessee Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- CPR and HWC certification
- American Nurses Association Certification preferred.
Experience :
- Experience in psychiatric evaluation, triage, and crisis stabilization preferred; strong assessment skills required; At least five years of acute psychiatric experience is preferred;
- at least three years managerial experience is preferred; excellent telephone etiquette and attention to customer service;
- ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crisis or resistant or negative toward organization;
effective oral and written communication skills; basic data entry skills preferred; Proficiency in critical thinking skill related to psychiatric nursing, medical nursing assessment skills, and emergency management of psychiatric patients is essential.
Understanding of EMTALA guidelines, mandatory screening agent usage and HIPPA regulations knowledge preferred.
