Job Type Short-Term Education High School / GED Travel Security Clearance Required None Pay Range $20.00 - 30.00 / hr Position Introduction Cimarron is seeking aircraft Assemblers to support a large aerospace and defense customer in North Charleston, SC.

These positions are supporting a 1-year contract and require that the selected candidates are available to support any shift assigned and overtime as needed.

Key Duties

• Perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
• Drill, shim, install, fit, fasten, align, adjust, and perform the necessary pre-installation assembly work to install structural components.
• Report job constraints, including errors caused by workmanship, defects in parts, materials, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc..
• Perform any repairs, rework, functional checks, and incorporate authorized changes, etc.
• Remove and / or replace installed components and any related parts.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration at this time.
• 1 or more years of experience.
• Ability to work any shift assigned and overtime as needed.
• Ability to select correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, standards, hardware, etc.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, engineering dispositions, and instructions.
• Must be safety conscious, including employing the use of safety glasses, safety harnesses, respirators, boot socks, and other pertinent safety equipment.
• Exhibit exemplary housekeeping and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) standards.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and FOD-free work area.
• Possess understanding and knowledge of basic computer systems and programs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in elevated and / or confined spaces as required.
• Comfortable with frequent overhead work.
• Ability to lift less than 35 lbs individually and over 50lbs as a team.
• Ability to bend and twist at the waist, walk, crawl, crouch, kneel, reach, climb / balance, flexion / extension.
• Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
• Ability to obtain and maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Associate degree.
