As Quality & EHS Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall quality of products and implementation of effective environmental, health and safety within the organization.
This position requires a combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Assurance (60%)
- Maintain the ISO 9001 : 2015 Quality Management System to ensure product conformity with established standards / requirements.
- Evaluate and mitigate quality risks throughout the production processes in the plant.
- Initiate stop / release of production due to quality issues.
- Identify and implement improvements related to quality assurance and quality control.
- Plan and execute activities to reduce the internal defect rate and cost of poor quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Direct work assignments for Quality Team
Environmental (20%)
- Maintain the ISO 14001 : 2015 Environmental Management System.
- Identify and implement improvements related to environmental sustainability.
- Plan and execute activities to increase the recycling rate and reduce energy consumption.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, and work with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
Health & Safety (20%)
- Maintain the ISO 45001 : L2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to quality and EHS activities, including reports, procedures, and records.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards related to health and safety, and work with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Plan and execute activities to reduce recordable safety incidents and lost workday injuries.
- Provide guidance and EHS best practices, deliver training programs to employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in quality assurance and EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Factory environment with noise, dust, etc.
- Some heavy lifting
- Heavy PC use
- Daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines
- Occasional travel (less than 5%)
