Construction Project Manager/Estimator
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Construction Project Manager / Estimator. This role encompasses overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality throughout.
The Construction Project Manager / Estimator will collaborate closely with customers, clients, subcontractors, and resource providers to achieve project success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage customer relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout the construction process.
- Educate customers on construction procedures and processes.
- Compile and resolve punch list items, performing final walk-throughs with customers.
- Secure signed Certificates of Completion and Satisfaction from customers.
- Oversee all warranty activities related to completed projects.
- Evaluate and sell projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Identify and document project scope of work, reviewing and creating estimates.
- Obtain client and customer agreement on project scope and estimate.
- Review and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure proper permits are acquired and all work complies with local codes.
- Identify, qualify, and negotiate terms with subcontractors and resource providers.
- Plan, organize, and manage construction crews and subcontractors.
- Schedule subcontractors and material suppliers efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with project plans, specifications, and scope requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements :
- High school diploma / GED required; BA in engineering, construction science, or related field preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in construction management and estimating required.
- Proficiency in Xactimate™ estimating software preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
- Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements :
- Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally climb ladders.
- Frequent driving and sitting may be required.
- Occasional exposure to extreme conditions such as heat.
