Position Summary :
Under the direct supervision of the Patient Registration Supervisor, the Insurance Verifier is responsible for the verification of insurance benefits including payment rates and contractual affiliations for all inpatients and outpatients procedures.
The verifier will notify the insurance / IPA of all admissions timely, ascertain that all accounts have the appropriate authorization / tracking numbers and review and correct billing information.
The Insurance Verifier is to work in a cooperative manner to fulfill the goals of the department and hospital displaying courtesy with all patients, staff, and visitors.

Salary Range :
Hourly Rate Minimum $19.09 Midpoint $23.16 Maximum $28.62
Required Qualifications :
- Good typing and spelling skills
- Patient registration experience
- Knowledge of Health Care Industry / Insurance contract
- Computer Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
