We are looking for tenacious and passionate people for a position of a Barista Catering Lead .

This position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate our clients' needs for various events.

We provide world-class paid training that will give you coffee trade and technical skills and will make you a better coffee service professional.

Our baristas have high emotional intelligence and strive to be the best in everything they do as they grow to be experts in coffee knowledge, hospitality, and providing an unheard-of experience for our clients and guests.

Job Description

Key responsibilities :

• Planning, preparing, and packing for upcoming events at our location in River Forest (walking distance from Metra, Blue and Green Lines)
• Driving our van to a client's location
• Communicating with the client on location to ensure their needs are met with excellence
• Providing leadership to another barista during the set-up, event, and tear-down
• Making sure events run smoothly and taking action whenever problems arise

Qualifications

An ideal candidate will :

• Have insatiable curiosity and eagerness to learn
• Have a deep sense of ownership and taking responsibility for the outcome
• Be fluid in English
• Have at least 1 year of experience as a barista
• Have very good latte art skills
• Have high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills
• Have the ability to make clients feel at home and welcome
• Pay close attention to detail, especially in making sure our cleanliness and visual presentation are impeccable
• Be extremely punctual and reliable
• Be comfortable in fast-paced and at times stressful situations
• Be very responsive in communicating
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lb
• Must have some technical skills and be able to troubleshoot in the field
