The Accountant assists the Controller and the VP of Finance with ensuring the accurate representation of financial transactions within the financial accounting system and the efficient operation of the Accounting Department.
Assists management on various projects. Maintains accounting and statistical records including Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts as well as the associated analysis and reporting.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Recommends process improvement to general accounting activities ensuring the most efficient and effective operations.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required
- CPA preferred.
- years accountant experience.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for reconciliations, manual preparation of financial statements for Cancer Pavilion partnership, and recurring monthly duties.
- Participates in and / or leads special process improvement projects under supervision of Controller.
- Complies with all organization, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations.
- Compiles, analyzes, and reports periodic financial data (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Completes month-end close process and assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Presents data to management and other key stakeholders.
- Exhibits spreadsheet proficiency; has a comprehensive knowledge of programs to manage data efficiently.
- Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.
