Key Responsibilities :

• Design & Fit : Measure, design, fit, and adapt lenses and frames for patients based on optical prescriptions.
• Customer Service : Provide exceptional customer service, assisting patients in selecting frames and ensuring the perfect fit for their eyewear.
• Precision & Accuracy : Prepare work orders for optical labs, verify the exactness of finished lenses, and make necessary adjustments.
• Eyewear Management : Manage eyewear orders, perform quality inspections, and maintain inventory levels.
• Patient Education : Educate patients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care, and provide follow-up services including adjustments and repairs.
• Vendor Management : Negotiate and manage vendor accounts to ensure maximum discount potential and timely delivery of orders.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with prescribing providers, assist in training new personnel, and supervise employees at your location.

Qualifications

Education : High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Licensing : ABO and Georgia Licensed Dispensing Optician certification strongly preferred.

Experience : Previous experience in an eyeglass dispensary, with the ability to operate lensometers and other optical equipment.

Skills :

• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with EMR systems - Compulink experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to read a manual lensometer, perform quality checks on eyewear including neutralizing prescriptions, transposing if needed, and troubleshooting any patient issues that may arise from an eyeglass order.
• Familiarity with contact lens ordering & performing I&Rs.
